We are proud to introduce you to a wonderful member of the Families Helping Families team, Foster the Pup! Foster is the mascot for our organization. Foster will be at FHF events so make sure you say hello. Get to know Foster the Pup below!

Foster’s Story

Foster the Pup has been in foster care most of his life. He has several brothers and sisters since he was from a large litter of pups. He has lived in three different foster homes and a shelter. With each move, Foster lost a little hope and believed he would never have a family of his own.

Foster came to stay at Families Helping Families and was adopted! There are many days that Foster is still scared that this is just another temporary home, but the good news is Foster has found his forever home and a family that cares for him.

Get to Know Foster

Below is an interview with FHF’s newest team member.

Q – Tell us a little bit about your foster care experience.
Foster – I was in foster care when I was little. It was scary to go to a new home with people I didn’t know. I moved around a lot. It was hard but I met a lot of great new people along the way.

Q – How do you spend your weekend?
Foster – Playing in the dirt! I love the outdoors. Whether it’s rolling in the grass, going on walks or just soaking up some rays!

Q – What do you like most about Families Helping Families?
Foster – All the wonderful people. From the volunteers, staff, and families everyone has been so nice. They are a great community and support system for children and foster families.

Q – What advice would you give kids going through foster care?
Foster – You are not alone. There are many people that will support and care for you along the way. One of my favorite quotes is “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations”.
