Board of Directors Opening

Families Helping Families is currently looking to add to our Board of Directors. As a member of our board you have the opportunity to be part of a growing non-profit. Board members can assist with grant research and writing, public relations, website management, fundraising and so much more.

Our Board of Directors are critical to continue moving the organization forward towards our mission of helping children that have been abused or neglected to have the same chance as their peers.

Open Positions

The following positions are currently open on the Families Helping Families Board of Directors.

Director of Fundraising

  • The responsibility of this board member is to generate ideas for event fundraising, maintain a database of professional contacts and work with other board members to promote awareness of the organization.
  • This is a 2-year term that may be re-elected

Director of Hospitality

  • The responsibility of this board member is to build relationships and support board members, staff and volunteers. This includes developing a plan to help these individuals during any significant life event.
  • This is a 2-year term that may be re-elected.

Director of Public Relations/Marketing

  • The responsibly of this board member is to serve as a liaison between the community and organization. This includes working with the marketing assistant to raise awareness of the organization through flyers, promotional media, newsletters, social media and more.
  • This is a 2-year term that may be re-elected.

At-Large Position

  • The responsibly of this board member will vary based on that individuals expertise. They will help to spread the mission of the organization among other duties.
  • This is a 2-year term that may be re-elected.
  • There are currently multiple At-Large Positions available

Board of Directors Requirements

As a member of the FHF Board we look for individuals that not only fulfill the position description above but meet the following requirements.

  • Volunteer a minimum of 50 hours at Families at Families prior to joining the board
  • Each board member must attend 10 of the 12 regular monthly meetings
  • Passion for helping others and going the extra mile
  • Ability to support/volunteer at events, within the clothing closet and more
  • Represent FHF on a professional level at all times
  • Foster and/or Adoptive parents (current or former) are welcome. In addition to a cross section of experienced members of the community.
