Tutoring ScholarshipsTo help support school-aged children in their foster or relative placement transitions, Families Helping Families offers tutoring scholarships to support academic goals through our Spread Your Wings program.

Families Helping Families helps fund activities for children, including extracurricular activities through various scholarships.

An estimated 52 percent of foster children will graduate high school, with only 3 percent graduating from college. The Spread Your Wings tutoring scholarships can help support their track of academic success.

About Tutoring Scholarships

All qualifying applicants are approved for three months of tutoring through Families Helping Families’ partnering agency. However, extensions can also be granted for additional tutoring scholarships, as needed. All approvals are based on program fund balance.

Who Qualifies?

  • Apply for a scholarship through our online application.
  • Once an application is approved, you should enroll your child/children in the class, lesson, sport or activity approved.
  • Caregivers should request an invoice from the organization providing the lessons or activity and forward the invoice to Families Helping Families for payment. Invoices can be  scanned and emailed to office@fhfia.org or dropped off or mailed to our office:
