At Families Helping Families of Iowa, we pride ourselves on offering families and kiddos a myriad of activities and fun year-round, from fundraising events to celebrations of new school years and holidays! Families Helping Families is proud to help our communities recover the lost canopy and trees from the August 2020 derecho. Help us raise funds to support our programs and the families we serve by purchasing a new tree for your property. Choose from 2″ or 2.5″ diameter trees:
- Brandywine Maple
- Burgundy Belle Maple
- Autumn Blaze Maple
- Celebration Maple
- Red Sunset Maple
- Sienna Glenn Maple
- Bur Oak
- Swamp White Oak
- Red Oak
Trees are standard pricing based on diameter.
- 2-inch diameter trees – $250/each
- 2.5-inch diameter trees – $300/each
Trees will be delivered to the FHF office in Cedar Rapids between late October and early November. These trees are bagged and can be easily lifted by two people.

Families Helping Families of Iowa presents our first ever Virtual Super Hero Bash 5K and One Mile Fun Run/Walk! This event includes a virtual costume contest with prizes and fun t-shirts!
Choose your own route and log your distance between October 1st and October 31st! T-Shirts and prizes will be available after the event concludes.All proceeds benefit Iowa’s children in foster care!

This annual holiday event is free for children in foster care, relative or other approved placements, those adopted from foster care and other children living in the foster household. Register online at www.fhfia.org beginning Tuesday, December 1, 2020.
