Through the Quilt Project at Families Helping Families, you can help children feel safe and warm during this difficult time as they transition to protective care.

You can help make a positive impact on children who have been abused and removed from a neglected home by providing quilts for kids.

Donate Your Fabric and Skills

If you have a stash of fabric remnants and a love of quilting, we’d love your help! Families Helping Families accepts all kinds of quilt-related items including:

  • Cotton fabric
  • Quilting supplies
  • Needles
  • Batting
  • Thread
  • Completed quilts

Every other year, Families Helping Families puts out a call to action for area quilters and blanket-making extraordinares to donate their time and talent in our Quilt-A-Thon. Whether you’re helping make a quilt at the Families Helping Families office, or just working from home, this annual event is a great way to supply foster children the warm comfort of a handmade blanket. Learn more about our upcoming Quilt-A-Thon an in our calendar.

Adopt a Blanket

If you don’t sew or quilt and still want to help, ask us about adopting a quilt for a tax-deductible $50 donation. Adopting a quilt supports the Families Helping Families mission and helps fund future quilts and supplies for children throughout the area.

No matter how old the child, a quilt can bring comfort during their time of need. To find out more about the Quilt Project, contact us today.
